On November 29th, the Final of the 16th National Vocational Skills Competition for Power Industry – Power Supply Attendants (Meter Installation and Connection Workers), sponsored by the China Electricity Council and the China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center, undertaken by State Grid Corporation of China, and co-organized by State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd., concluded in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. A total of 44 representative teams and 176 contestants from all over the country participated in the final competition.
Currently, China is advancing the transformation of its energy structure in depth and accelerating the construction of a new type of power system. This competition serves as an important measure to thoroughly implement the national strategy of strengthening the country through talents and accelerate the development of a team of highly skilled talents in the power industry. It aims to enhance the professional literacy and practical operation capabilities of power supply attendants (meter installation and connection workers), and promote the in-depth integration and application of intelligent metering and digital technologies in power services.
As the technical service provider for this competition, Wonder Electric dispatched 23 staff members to the site one month in advance. With a professional attitude and attentive service, the team carried out the layout of the competition venue and the debugging of professional equipment.
The competition adopted an assessment model of “theoretical knowledge test + practical operation assessment”. The WT-FY111B Integrated Fault Diagnosis System for Electric Energy Information Collection and Management, independently developed by Wonder Electric, demonstrated stable performance and excellent results in the practical operation assessment, providing strong support for the smooth progress of the competition.
